"Insurance in the Polish Segment of the European Market in 2004"

to be held in

May 19, 2004 at the Leon Ko¼miński Academy of Entepreneurship and Management, Warsaw, Jagiellońska 57/59, Poland

The present conference is a continuation of discussion which took place during the previous meeting on "Problems and legal trends in development of the insurance market in Poland" in March 2002 as well as the last meeting in April 2003 devoted to the issues of "Insurance in the Polish Segment of the European Market"

Having been fully convinced about the necessity to have broad knowledge about the challenges and expectations facing the Polish insurance market on the eve of entry of Poland to the European Union and after full accesssion, we took the efforts to invite representatives of the science and practice, both from the central government level and local authorities with aim to enumerate the major issues and to find solutions on the basis of the exchange of opinion and experience of invited participants.

We have pleasure to invite for this conference distinguished guests both form Western and Eastern Europe representing academic and scientific centers, international organizations and financial and insurance groups.

Based on our previous positive expecience we are planning to activate the internet platform which would facilitate both presentation and discussion for the conference members. This would also help to gather diversified opinions for the leaders of subject groups.

The conference itself is planned as a one-day meeting, which after the opening and intruductory presentation by invited spekares will concentrate on the following main subjects:

  • Europeanization of the Polish Insurance Law
  • Uniform Insurance Market
  • Insurance Intermediary
  • Insurance Education
  • Basic Problems of Globalization on the Insurance Market (with participation of foreign guests, in English)
